Veterans* Parade. The annual church parade of the Wanganui branch of the South African Veterans’ Association was held on Sunday afternoon to commemorate the 32nd. anniversary of the signing of the treaty Vereeniging. Headed by the Queen Alexandra’s Own Band, the parade marched to the South African Memorial on Cook’s Gardens to deposit a wreath before proceeding to Christ Church, where a special service was hold, and a sermon preached bv Archdeacon J. R. Youn". Unwards of 150 were present, mclud'ng members of the Returned Association, the Legion of Frontiersmen, Toe H. and local bodies. At the conclusion of the parade, Mr F. D. Glasgow, president of the Veterans’ Association, thanked the Queen Alexandra O—n f or a f. rending.
