Meteorological Office, Wellington, Sunday, June 10, 4 p.m. General Situation.—An intense anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, the highest pressure lying between Tasmania and Otago. Forecast. —Winds: Light to fresh between south-easterly and easterly. Seas (New Zealand waters): A considerable southerly swell sou£li of East Cape, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate east of south-east winds, smooth to moderatet seas. 'Weather; A few passing showers still likely along the East Coast, especially of the North Island, otherwise the weather fair to line. Cold temperatures with many sharp frosts. The Now Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, report for 24 hours ending 6 p.m. yesterday; Bright sunshine, 7 hours 20 minutes. Rainfall, .14 inches. Shade temperature: Maximum, 50 deg. Fahr.; minimum, 38 deg. Fahr. Phases of the Moon fur June: Last quarter, June 6; new moon, June 13; first quarter, June 21; new moon, June 28.
