Me Man away, in which he informs you of his having taken a contract to survey a portion of the Wairarapa Valley, and that it is probable Ice will have to resign his seal; and as it cannot be advantageous to the public interest, that the seats in the Proviucial Council should be filled by contractors voiiug themselves payment for their work, and that you may have an opportunity of expressing your wishes on the subject, I have been induced by the large number of votes given in my favor at the last Elections, to offer myself a candidate /or the vacant seat.
