THE MINISTERIAL CRISIS.

Our advices from the North show that the Political Crisis still existed in Auckland and that up to the time when the mail left the resignations of Ministers had not been accepted. The relations between Sir George Grey and the Ministry , if so we may still call the latter, continue in nearly the same unsatisfactory condition as before, but tbere was reason to believe that the difficulty would result in an oarly meeting of the Assombly. The Ministry were in hourly anticipation of receiving his Excellency's decision on their resignations, and had made overtures indirectly to facilitate the transaction of public business, provided his Excellency would call the Assembly together in November. There is however a very singularcomplicationabout this. The Ministry desire an early meeting, but they cannot directly recommend his Excellency to convene it without thereby agreeing to meet it as his " responsible advisers," and that would amount to a virtual rotraction of their resignations. How this difficulty will be overcome it is hard to say, but probably, indirect overtures may accomplish the object in view. Meantime it is understood that his Excellency is strongly opposed to a meeting of the Assembly for somo months to come.
