Return to an Order of the. House of Representatives, dated the 10th November, 1887. Ordered, " That a return be laid before this House showing the amount paid by Ihe Government during the year ending 30th September, 1887, for advertising by the several departments, as classified for the annual estimates, the fund to which the cost of such advertising has been charged, and the names of the newspapers to which such sums have been paid."—(Mr. Buchanan.)
