NATIVE LAND SETTLEMENT ACCOUNT (STATEMENT SHOWING THE MONEYS PAID INTO AND OUT OF THE).
Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly in pursuance of Section 419 of the Native Land Act, 1900.
Memorandum for the Hon. the Native Minister. I have the honour to forward herewith a statement, as required by section 419 of the Native Land Act, 1909, showing the moneys paid into and out of the Native Land Settlement Account during the financial period ended 31st March, 1913. Of the items shown as expenditure, the amount expended by the Native Department was £58,099 16s. sd. for purchase of Native land, and £23 9s. 6d. for Crown grant and registration fees. The balance, £48,777 os. 2d., was expended under the supervision of the Lands Department. The return is prepared and signed by the Secretary to the Treasury. Thos. W. Fisher, Under-Secretary.
