ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from, the Journals of the House of Representatives. Thursday, the 12th Day of February, 1942. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting, by leave, of eleven members, to whom shall stand referred, after the first reading, all Bills affecting or in any way relating to the lands of the Crown, or education or other public reserves; the Committee to have power to recommend Buch amendments therein as it thinks proper, and to report generally, when necessary, upon the principles and provisions of the Bills: the Committee to consist of Mr. Combs, Mr. Cullen, Mr. Dickie, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Kidd, the Hon. Mr. Martin, Mr. Meachen, the Hon. Sir Alfred Ransom, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Williams, and the Mover." —(Hon. Mr. Barclay.) Tuesday, the 17th Day of March, 1942. Ordered, "That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1941 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Right Hon. Mr. Eraser.) Wednesday, the 14th Day of October, 1942. Ordered, " That for the remainder of the session all Select Committees of the House have leave to sit on days on which the House is not sitting and also at times when the House is actually sitting."— (Right Hon. Mr. Fraser.) Memoranda for the Chairman of the Lands Committee: — The Bill intituled the New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Reserve Amendment Act stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. <3rd .luly, 1942.) The Bill intituled the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (14th October, 1942.) The Bill intituled the Local Legislation Act stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (16th October, 1942.) The Bill intituled the Wanganui City Council Vesting and Empowering Amendment Act stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (21st October, 1942.)
REPORTS. New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Reserve Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered the New Plymouth Recreation and Racecourse Reserve Amendment Bill, and recommends that, so far as it affects a public reserve, the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 9th July, 1942.
Reserves and other Lands Disposal Bill. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Bill, and recommends that, so far as it affects public reserves,, the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 16th October, .1942.
Local Legislation Bill. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered the Local Legislation Bill, and recommends that, so far as it affects public reserves, the Bill lie allowed to proceed without amendment. 16th October, 1942.
Wanganui City Council, Vesting and Empowering Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Lands Committee has carefully considered the Wanganui City Council Vesting and Empowering Amendment Bill, and recommends that, so far as it affects public reserves, the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 21st October, 1942.
