3. Prison Regulations in Force, and Discipline. (1.) Regulations posted in Gaol and used. (2.) Strictly. (5.) The mark-system is carefully enforced, and the effect is decidedly good. The prisoners watch the returns as posted up, and are most urgent in deprecating anything that seems to interfere with their getting the full number of marks. (6.) None. (7.) Nominally there are five, but the senior is incapacitated from doing any duty by age and sickness. There are, therefore, practically only four. (8.)
