No. 257. —Petition of Rowland Maurice. The petitioner prays for relief from disabilities under which he suffers as a registered immigrant. I am directed to report that the Committee cannot recommend a Crown grant to be issued unless the petitioner fulfils the conditions imposed by law by residing on the land. 24th August, 1880.
No. 337.' —Petition of William Powell and other Ratepayers of the Raglan Road District. The petitioners pray for the construction of a road and bridge in their district.
