In reply to the usual questions put by Mr. Harlow, salesman, as to postal address and occupation, the embarrassment and apparent ignorance of the purchaser attracted my attention. I therefore put the following questions to him : " How long have you been here ? When did you arrive ? Have you ever seen or been on the country?"
