Return to an Order of the House of Representatives, dated 9th August, 1883. Ordered, " That there be prepared during the recess and laid upon the tablo a return of the following several values and amounts under the Property Assessment Acts in 1883 : (1.) The value of all real estate in tho colony subject to such taxation, including real estate under lease or other tenuro ; (2.) The value of all personal estato iii tho colony subjoct to such taxation ; (8.) The amount claimed as entitled to oxomption in respect of mortgages, rentcharges, and such liko on the real estate ; (4.)
