Registrar-General's Office, Wellington, sth August, 1886. Two further tables are presented in continuation of those previously issued: No. 1 shows the population in provincial districts, and the results of a compilation of the dwellings of the people, classified according to materials and rooms. No. 2 gives the populations of the wards in different boroughs, and information as to the suburbs of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Wm. R. E. Brown, Registrar-General.
