Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that your honourable House will be pleased to take the claim of your petitioners into favourable consideration, with a view to recommending that effect be given to the object and intent of clauses 11 and 12 of the said contract, or to the alternative claim of your petitioners. And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray, &c. The seal of the company was hereunto affixed this 11th day of May, 1887, by order of the directors of the company. (1.5.)
