Notices to Mariners. —Thirty-six Notices to Mariners were issued during the year, of which sixteen related to matters within the colony. The following is a list of them : — Cuvier Island Lighthouse (three notices). Napier Harbour : Exhibition of lights on outer end of Western Pier, entrance to Inner Harbour. Westport Harbour : Dredging operations, Buller Eiver. Timaru Harbour : Position of wreck of " Lyttelton." Kaipara Harbour : Directions for clearing Tory Shoal. Auckland Harbour: Approaches to Hobson Street Wharf and Quay Street Jetty No. 2. Napier Harbour: Buoys placed to mark foundations, &c., of breakwater.
