The 27th August is the last day for receiving applications, and, as the income is dependent upon the number of applications and the value of the blocks to be dealt with, it is impossible now to estimate the income for the year. Intending applicants seem to be waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court as to whether the Commissioners have power under section 27 to grant a certificate to cases similar to Tokomaru.] T. W.
