Weekly Balances of the Public Account and other Government Accounts at Wellington from the 9th October, 1887, to the 29th March, 1890. THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT. The bank allows 4 per cent, interest on the daily balances of the Public Account, the EeceiverGeneralls Deposit Account, the Post Office Account, the Government Insurance Account, the Public Trustee's Account, and the Account of the Commissioners of the Public Debt3 Sinking Funds at Wellington, when the balances of those accounts as a whole are under £80,000; when the balances as a whole exceed that amount, 3 per cent. No interest is allowed by the bank on sums over £400,000 except by special agreement.
