38.— 6.
The Senate has this year made complete provision for the details of a curriculum in Civil and Mechanical Engineering, and has ordered by statute that students who successfully pass through the course in these branches shall be admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Science. The question of a similarly detailed course in Mining and Metallurgical Engineering has been unavoidably postponed until 1894; but after that year, as the Senate hopes, there will be ample provision within the colony for thorough instruction in the highest branches of technical education.
