HAWKE'S BAY. Sir, — School Commissioners' Office, Napier, 26th February, 1896. I have the honour to report as follows for the past year: An auction sale of leases was held in December last, when four town sections were offered. Only two lots were sold, at an aggregate annual rental of £83, the other lots being passed in. Since the auction sale, however, one other lot has been leased, at a rental of £30 per annum.
