GOVERNMENT ADVERTISING (DETAILED RETURN RELATIVE TO).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the sth. July, 1898. Ordered " That a return be laid before this House showing,—(l) The amount paid to each newspaper in the oolony for Government advertisements during the year ended the 31st March, 1898; (2) the amount similarly paid for Government printing, etating to whom paid ; (3) the amounts expended for advertising New Zealand soenery (a) m the colony, and (6) outside the colony, stating to whom the same has been paid."—(Mr. Buchanan.)
