No. 245, 1897. —Petition of John Fitzgeeald. Petitionee prays for compensation for injury done to his land by flooding, caused by the erection of a railway-bridge over the Grey Eiver. I am directed to report that the Committee are of opinion that, whilst the ownership of the Midland Eailway is in dispute, it is inadvisable to proceed with the petition. 22nd July, 1898.
