1899. NEW ZEALAND.

LUNATIC ASYLUMS: (RETURN RELATIVE TO OFFICERS NOW EMPLOYED; ALSO RETIREMENTS AND DISMISSALS DURING LAST SIX YEARS.)

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 4th August, 1899. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing (a) the names, (b) when appointed, (c) to which asylum, (d) the salary then given and that now received of each person now attached to one or all of the lunatio asylums of the colony; (c) also giving the number of retirements and dismissals from each asylum of the colony for the last six years, for each year, ending the 30th June last, of all persons who had been employed in or relating to such institutions."—(Mr. Joyce.)
