Avon. This district is bounded towards the north-west and the north by the Riccarton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the Borough of St. Albans to Pegasus Bay : thence towards the east by Pegasus Bay to the estuary of the Heathcote and the Avon Rivers : thence towards the south-west and towards the south-east by the said estuary to the south-western side of the Canal Reserve : thence again towards the south-west by the south-western side of the said Canal Reserve (being the north-eastern boundary of the Borough of Woolston) to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Aldwin's Road: thence again towards the south-east by a right line to the south-eastern side of Aldwin's Road, and by the south-eastern side of that road and its production to the southern side of Ferry Road : thence again towards the south-west by the southern side of Ferry Road to Ensor's Road : thence again towards the south-east by the eastern side of Ensor's Road to the reserve for the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway : thence again towards the south-west by that reserve to Wilson's Road on the Sydenham Borough boundary : thence again towards the north-west by Wilson's Road to Ferry Road : thence again towards the south-west by Ferry Road to the East Town Belt of the City of Christchurch : thence again towards the west by the said East Town Belt to the River Avon; thence by the production of the eastern side of the East Town Belt across the River Avon to the left ba,nk of that river : thence again towards the north and northwest by the left bank of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of a subdivision of Section No. 197, Block XL, Christchurch Survey District, containing 3 acres and 35 perches : thence towards the south by a right line to the said southern boundary-line; thence by that boundary-line to the road which forms the north-western boundary of a subdivision of the said Section No. 197, containing 5 acres 2 roods ; thence by that road to a road intersecting the said Section No. 197, and by the last-mentioned road to the North Avon Road; thence by that road to Hill's Road : and thence towards the west by the said Hill's Road to Shirley's Road, and by Shirley's Road to the Riccarton Electoral District aforesaid,'the place of commencement. City op Christchurch. This district is bounded towards the east generally by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the junction of Shirley's Road with Hill's Road at the Borough of St. Albans to where Wilson's Road is crossed by the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway ; thence towards the southeast by the said Wilson's Road to the road running along the Heathcote River, and known as Heathcote Terrace, thence by the said Heathcote Terrace to Tennyson Street; thence towards the south by the said Tennyson Street to Colombo Road; thence towards the west by the said Colombo Road to Strickland Street; thence towards the south-west by the said Strickland Street and its north-eastern side produced across Jackson's Creek, a branch of the River Heathcote ; thence again towards the south by the said Jackson's Creek to Douglas Jerrold Street, and by the last-mentioned street to the Lower Lincoln Road at the boundary of the Riccarton Electoral District, hereinbefore described ; thence towards the west and north generally by the Riccarton Electoral District aforesaid to the junction of Shirley's Road with Hill's Road, the place of commencement. Lyttelton. This district is bounded towards the north-east and north generally by the City of Christchurch Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Selwyn Street, to where Wilson's Road is crossed by the Christchurch-Lyttelton Railway : thence towards the north-west and the north-east generally by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the estuary of the Heathcote and Avon Rivers ; thence by the said estuary and by Pegasus Bay to Godley Head : thence towards the south and east by Lyttelton Harbour to the head of the bay at the bridge near the mouth of the Te Rapu Stream ; thence by a line to the nearest point of the road which forms the eastern boundary of Section No. 25401 of Block VII., Halswell Survey District; thence by that road and its continuation towards Gebbie's Pass, passing Sections Nos. 344, 481, 75, 13920, 34609, and 35602, to Section No. 21471 of Block XI., Halswell Survey District: thence again towards the south by the said Section No. 21471 and Section No. 6076 to the road which forms part of the southern boundary of Section No. 35602 of the said Block XI.; thence by the south side of that road and its continuation westerly, passing Sections Nos. 6260, 4190, and 1383, to the western boundary-line of Section No. 1194 ; thence by that section and Section No. 4621 of the said Block XI. to Section No. 1390 : thence towards the west generally by the said Section No. 1390, and Sections Nos. 1196, 14334, 33951, 1182, 1060, 906, 34555, 13609, 34551, 18809, 1443, 35510, 1403, 33748, and 565 of Block VII., Halswell Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 485, 33742, 521, 520, 491, 338, and 493, all of Block 111., Halswell Survey District, to the road intersecting the last-mentioned section; thence by that road and its continuation northerly, intersecting the said Section No. 493 and Section No. 10210, and passing along the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 2231, 31363, 31362, 2063, and 1325 to the Hoon Hay Road ; thence by the Hoon Hay Road to the plantation and road reserve separating Sections Nos. 382 and 383 of Block XV., Christchurch Survey District; thence by the north site of the said plantation and road reserve to the Heathcote River; thence by the Heathcote River to Barrington Road : thence towards the south-west by Barrington Road to Stark's Road : and thence again towards the north-west by Stark's Road to its junction with Selwyn Street: and thence again towards the south-west by Selwyn'Street to the boundary of the City of Christchurch Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement. Ellesmere, This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by the Lyttelton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the north-western corner of Section No. 1410 of Block VII., Halswell Survey District, to the head of the bay in Port Lyttelton; thence towards the north by Lyttelton Harbour and the ocean ; thence again towards the east and towards the south by the ocean to the
