This district is bounded towards the north and east generally by the Tuapeka Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Leithen Burn to the confluence of the Crook Burn with the Clutha River: thence towards the north-east generally by the Bruce Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the ocean : thence towards the south-east by the ocean to the Waipati Estuary near Chasland's Mistake : thence towards the south-west generally by the Waipati Estuary and by the Waipati River to a point due east of Black Horn; thence by a right line to Black Horn; thence by a line due north to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 1 of Block XIV., Waikawa Survey District: thence again towards the south by the said Section No. Ito its northwestern corner : thence again towards the west by Section No. 5 of Block XIV., Mokoreta Survey District: thence again towards the south by the said Section No. 5 and by Section No. 3of the said Block XIV. to its northernmost corner : thence again towards the west by a right line to Trig. Station EE ; thence by the summit of the watershed over Bleak Hill, the Chimney and Flower Pot to Catlin's Cone; thence by a right line to the source of the Waipahi River in Section 1, Block XL, Kuriwao Survey District; thence by the said Waipahi River to a point due east of the north-eastern corner of Section No. 6 (P.R.), Block VI., Slopedown Survey District: thence towards the south by a right line to the said north-eastern corner; thence by the said Section No. 6 and Run No. 162 (education endowment) to the northern boundary-line of Block VII., Slopedown Survey District; thence by the said Block VII. and Blocks VIII. and IX., Slopedown Survey District, to Block X., Tuturau Survey District; thence towards the west by the said Block X. and Blocks IX. and VIII., Tuturau Survey District, and by a right line from the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block to the south-western corner of Block IX., Waikaka Survey District; thence by the western boundary-lines of Blocks IX., VI., and 111., Waikaka Survey District, to the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned block: thence again towards the north by the northern boundary-line of the said Block 111. to the southeastern corner of Chatton Survey District: thence again towards the west by Chatton Survey District to the road leading to Chatton Village: thence towards the south by that road, passing Maitland Village, to Chatton Village : thence towards the north-west by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 9, Block V., Chatton Survey District, and by that road continued in a north-easterly direction to and through Waikaka Township, and through Block XL, Greenvale Survey District, to Run No. 175b ; and thence by Run No. 175b to Leithen Burn, at the boundary of the Tuapeka Electoral District aforesaid, the place of commencement. This district is bounded towards the north and towards the north-east generally by the Clutha Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the road at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 9 of Block V., Chatton Survey District, to the ocean : thence towards the south by the ocean to a point in line with the western boundary-line of Block XXIII., Invercargill Hundred : thence towards the west by a right line to the said western boundary-line of Block XXIII., and thence by that boundary-line to the Seaward Bush Railway-line : thence towards the north by the Seaward Bush Railway-line to Block L, Oteramika Hundred : thence again towards the west by the western boundary-line of the said Block 1., and the western boundary-line of Block VI., Oteramika Hundred, to the railway-line; thence by the railway-line to the road running west of the Woodlands Railway-station ; thence by that road to and through Section No. 12 of Block VI., Invercargill Hundred aforesaid, to the main road; thence by the main road to the north-eastern boundary of the said Block VI.: thence towards the south-west by the said Block VI. and Blocks XL, XII., and XVIII. of the said Invercargill Hundred to the Makarewa River : thence again towards the north-west by that river to the north-western corner of Section No. 190, Forest Hill Hundred: thence towards the north by a line due east for a distance of 174 chains: thence again towards the west by a line due north for a distance of 200 chains : thence again towards the north-west by a line bearing N. 45° E. to the eastern boundary-line of the said Forest Hill Hundred : again towards the west by the said Forest Hill Hundred aforesaid : again towards the south by the said Forest Hill Hundred to Lora Stream : thence again towards the north-west generally by the said Lora Stream to Section No. 798 (known as Small Grazing-run No. 21), Hokonui Survey District: thence towards the south-west by that section and by the northern boundary-lines of Sections No. 449 and 267, Hokonui Survey District, to the Otamita Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Mataura River ; thence by the left bank of the said Mataura River to the Okapua Stream ; thence by the Okapua Stream to the road leading
