Puniu Domain. Sections No. 54a, and Allotments Nos* 6 and parts of 7 and 8 of Section No. 236, Mangapiko Parish, and part of Section No. 223, Puniu Parish. Area, 22 acres 12 perches. Eight acres leased on improvement conditions. Work done during year: Eradication of noxious weeds, repair to fences, and general maintenance. Improvements %ow on domain: Fences, plantations, and pavilion. Used for athletic sports and general recreation. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Improvements to pavilion. The part of Section 223, Puniu Parish (7 acres and 32 perches) mentioned is not under the control of the Puniu Domain Board, but is managed by the Commissioner of Crown Lauds, Auckland. It is proposed to offer this area for lease. Rangitoto Island Domain. Area, 5,698 acres 2 roods of Rangitoto Island, situated in Rangitoto Survey District. Work done during year: Path repaired, and concrete tanks emptied and cleaned. Improvements now on domain : Wharf, concrete tank, shelter-shed and tanks, seats, fireplaces, and well-graded path. Used for picnics, also visited by tourists. The Devonport Ferry Company runs steamers to the domain twice a week and on all holidays during the summer months, and pays the Domain Board Id. on each ticket sold. Takapuna Domain. Section No. 250, Takapuna Parish. Area, 180 acres 2 roods. Improvements now on domain : Fences. This area comprises poor gum land, situated some miles from close settlement, and is used by camping parties ; its value as a recreation-ground is prospective. Taneatua Domain: Section No. 11, Block IX, Whakatane Survey District. Area, 10 acres. Work done during year: Fences erected, noxious weeds cleared, and an area ploughed, levelled, and laid down in grass. Improvements now on domain: Fences, gates, and cricketground. Tangihua Domain. Section No. 33, Block 11, Tangihua Survey District. Area, 65 acres. No improvements effected. The area has recently been leased on improvement conditions. Tauhoa Domain. Sections Nos. 145, 146, and 148, Tauhoa Parish. Area, 92 acres 2 roods 10 perches. Leased on improvement conditions Work done during year: Ploughing, grassing, clearing, fencing, and planting. Improvements now on domain : Five chains live hedge, 30 chains post-and-wire fence, 25 acres ploughed, and 30 acres laid down in grass. Not used by the public. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Ploughing, fenc.ing, clearing, and grassing. Taupibi Domain. Sections Nos. 78 to 87, Town of Taupiri. Area, 4 acres 2 roods 37 perches. Improvements now on domain: Fences, plantation, tennis-courts, and small pavilion. Used for tennis, cricket, picnics, and general recreation. Tauranga Domain. Allotments Nos. 273 and 393 of Section No. 1, Town of Tauranga. Area, 15 acres 3 roods 21 perches. Work done during year: Pavilion built for use of cricket, golf, and hockey clubs; ornamental trees planted, hedges trimmed, and noxious weeds eradicated. Improvements now on domain: Band-rotunda, football-shed, and Cricket, Golf, and Hockey Club's pavilion. Used for football, cricket, golf, hockey, and other athletic sports. It is proposed to paint the rotunda during the ensuing year. # Tauranga Racecourse Domain. Sections Nos. 22, 23, 24, and 25, Te Papa Parish. Area, 200 acres. Leased on improvement conditions. Work done during year: Plantations cleaned, and buildings and fences kept in repair. Improvements now on domain: Fences, saddling-paddock, and building used as booth and stewards' room. Used for races and sports. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Thinning and transplanting trees, fencing, and general maintenance. Te Aroha Hot Springs Domain. Sections Nos. 15 and 16, Block IX, Aroha Survey District. Area, 66 acres. This domain is under the control of the Tourist Department. During the year improvements have been effected to the grounds and buildings, the swimming-bath reconstructed, and buildings enlarged. The domain now contains houses, fences, croquet and tennis lawns, bowling-green, flower-beds, and baths, and is used as a health and pleasure resort.
