At the last meeting of the above Trust, a resolution expressing deep regret at the great loss we haye all sustained by the death of the Right Hon. R. J. Seddon was carried unarimously, and I was directed to inform you accordingly. This Trust, in common yvith all similar bodies, sympathizes with you in your great trouble. Yours, &c, Mrs. R. J. The committee of management of the Melbourne Hospital have heard with the greatest regret of the death of the Right Hon. Richard Seddon, and they have instructed me to convey to you the expressions of their deepest sympathy with you in your sad bereavement. The committee recognise the invaluable services the late Mr. Seddon rendered not only to New Zealand but to the Empire in general, and they regret that so distinguished and honourable a career has been terminated in death.
