Sir,— I regret to have to report the wreck of above train. When about two miles and a half south Ngatira my engine suddenly went off her beat, and leading engine applied the brakes and stopped the train. I got down and examined engine outside, and then crawled underneath and examined eccentrics and links: found them all right. Engineman Taylor, who also heard engine 6—D. 7.
