EDUCATION: ALLOWANCES MADE BY EDUCATION BOARDS TO SCHOOL COMMITTEES FOR INCIDENTAL EXPENSES.

Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return from the different Education Boards, and for oaoh of the last four years, showing,—(l) The amount pel head paid to the Sohool Committees, giving the variation in amount duo to the size of the school; also the conditions— as, for example, caretakers' residences which affect the amount paid, and showing the years in which the special ninepenny capitation was paid : (2) a statement of whal each Hoard expects the Sohool Committees to do with the moneys paid to them by the Hoard ; also giving any variations in what the Hoards have expected from the School Committees during the above period."—(Mr. Allen.)
