Auckland District. Cases of Infectious Disease notified. The cases of infectious disease occurring in the Public Health District during the year exhibit the very large increase of 909 cases. The scarlet fever increase of 805 cases and the diphtheria increase of 104 cases account for the whole of this — the increases in tuberculosis and plague and the decreases in enteric and blood-poisoning balancing.
