ESTIMATE OF COST OF PROVIDING PENSION OF £26 PER YEAR TO EVERY ONE OVER SIXTY-FIVE YEARS OF AGE.
Return to an Order of the House, of Representatives dated the Bth August, 1913. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return giving an estimate of what would be the cost of providing every man and woman in the Dominion with a pension of J626 a year on attaining the age of sixty-five years."—(Mr. Okby.) Return giving an Estimate op what would be the providing every Man and Woman in the Dominion with a Pension of £26 a Year on attaining the Age of Sixty-five Years. It is estimated that the cost at the present time would be £1,27 L,400 per annum, being the amount payable to 48,900 people of the age of sixty-five and over. G. C.
