ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Tuesday, the 22nd Day of July, 1913. Ordered, " That a Goldfields and Mines Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to whom shall bo referred all matters relating to mining, and all Bills relating to mines ; with power to call for persons and papers ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. R. F. Bollard, Mr. Colvin, Mr. Lee, Hon. Mr. McKenzie, Mr. Poland, Mr. T. W. Rhodes, Mr. Scott, Mr. Seddon, Mr. G. M. Thomson, and the mover."—(Hon. Mr. Fraser.) Wednesday, the 3rd Day of September, 1913. Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that the names of Sir W. C. Buchanan and Mr. Webb be added to the Goldfields and Mines Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Fraser.) Friday, the 18th Day of July, 1913. Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during Session TT, 1912, stand referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session."—(Hon. Mr. Massey.) Thursday, the 4th Day of September, 1913. " That the petition of Haora Tareranui and others be referred to the Goldfields and Mines Committee." —(Mr. Young.) Wednesday, the Ist Day of October, 1913. Ordered, " That the petition of P. L. Sim and another, presented by the Hon. Mr. McKenzie yesterday, be referred direct to the Goldfields and Mines Committee."—(Hon.
