Ordered, " That a Library Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, with power to confer with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Counoil; three to be a quorum: the Committee to consist of Mr. Anderson, Mr. Laurenson, Mr. McCallum, Mr. Myers, Dr. A. K. Newman, Mr. E. Newman, Mr. Russell, Mr. G. M. Thomson, Hon. Mr. Speaker, and the mover.''—(Hon. Mr. Fisheh.) Extract from the Journals of the Legislative Council. Wednesday, the 9th Day op July, 1913. Ordered, " That a Select Committee for the management and extension of the library be appointed, with power to confer with any similar Committee of the House of Representatives : the Committee to consirt of the Hon. Colonel Baillie, the Hon. Sir C. C. Bowen, the Hon. Dr. Collins, the Hon. Mr. Kelly, the Hon. Sir H. J. Miller, the Hon. Mr. Ormond, the Hon. Sir W. R. Russell, the Hon. Mr. Samuel, and the Hon. REPORT. I am directed by the Joint Library Committee to report,— That the following new rule has been made in regard to visitors: " That wives and daughters pi members of Parliament be permitted to use the main reading-room upstairs during each session of Parliament, but not to occupy any of the writing-tables." 9th October, 1913.
