Turanga Domain. Wade's Island, Section No. 1.33, Pakuranga Parish. Area, 26 acres. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland. It is an island in Turanga Creek. Uretara Island Domain. Uretara Island (Section No. 284, Waimana Parish). Area, 181 acres. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland. It contains some fine native bush, and is leased to a person who acts as caretaker. Improvements now on domain : Felling and grassing, well, fencing, draining, lean-to, fowl-house, cow-shed, &c. Uritawa Domain. Sections Nos. 15 to 29 and 38 to 42, and portions of closed streets, Town of Waterford. Area, 5 acres I rood 24 perches. Work done during year : Erection of a public library and reading-room. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Erecting a veranda as an addition to the library. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, entrance-gates, shelter-trees, flagstaff, tennis-court, football and cricket grounds, shelter-shed, dressing-rooms, and public library and reading-room. Area, 107 acres 1 rood. Work done during year : Sunk, well, erected pump and trough, 16 chains drain excavated, and noxious weeds cleared. Improvements now on domain : Show building, grandstand, picket and post-and-wire fences, plantations, drains, well and pump. Used for shows, picnics, football, cricket, and hockey. Leased. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland. It contains some native bush. Improvements now on domain : Fencing. Leased for a term of fourteen years, the lessee being granted permission to clear and grass portion. Waikino Domain. Section No. 51, Town of Waikino. Area, 12 acres and 30 perches. Work done during year : 8 acres sown down in grass and rolled, hedges and trees trimmed and cleaned, fences erected to protect young trees, other fences repaired, and 150 trees planted. Improvements now on domain : Cricket and football ground, concrete cricket-pitch, pavilion, dressing-sheds, conveniences, fences, hedges, plantations, and gates. Used for sports, cricket, hockey, and football. Proposed operations for ensuing year : 3 acres to be cleared, ploughed, and sown down in grass; 8 acres top-dressing, planting trees, renewing fences, repairing gates and sheds, and water-supply.
