No. 447 (1914). —Petition of Romana Werikake and 22 Others, of Bay of Islands. Praying for legislation to enable lands vested in Tokerau District Maori Land Board to be revested in Native owners without provision that liens and charges on such lands be first discharged. I am directed to report that, as a question of policy is involved, the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 20th October, 1914.

No. 379 (1914). Petition of Rim Maihi Kawiti and 49 Others, of Bay of Islands. Praying for legislation to enable granting of titles to permanent residents upon Motatau No. 2 Block. I am directed to report that, as a question of policy is involved, the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 20th October, 1914.

Praying that Mangatete-Kaikou and other blocks, at present vested in the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, be revested in the Native owners. I am directed to report that, as a question of policy is involved, the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition. 20th October, 1914. No. 90 (1914). —Petition of Taranaki Tarau and 4 Others, of Bay of Islands. Praying that they be paid compensation for a portion of Motatau No. 4c Block, alleged to have been taken by the Government. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 20th October, 1914.
