No. 367-.—Petition of Edward Smith and 5 Others. Praying for a Commission of inquiry re damage done to their land by the erosion of the Waitaki River. I am directed to report that in the opinion of- the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. sth October, 1915.

No. 324.—Petition of Thomas Morgan. Praying that he be awarded as compensation the sum of £495 for loss of land at Akaroa caused by a mistake of the Government surveyor. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. sth October, 1915.
