No. 4 (1915). —Petition of B.ongonui Terehina, of Paraeroa, and 2 Others. Praying that compensation be sanctioned by Parliament to be paid to petitioners for the loss of their mother, whose death was caused by the alleged neglect of the employees of the New Zealand Government. I am directed to report that as in. the opinion of the Committee petitioners have not exhausted their legal remedies the Committee has no recommendation to make. 12th July, 1916.

No. 145. —Petition of Archibald Thompson McNeilage, of Longbush, Masterton. Praying for relief, he having become totally incapacitated for military service through an accident, sustained after he had been medically accepted fur service and had expressed his willingness to go into camp forthwith.
