Praying for compensation for loss sustained, allegedly through action e-f Government, in connection with operations on land of Tapu Ika tribes at Kaituna River. No. 312 (1915).—Petition of Te Aio Poutu and 18 Others. Praying for redress re alleged alteration of location of a reserve, being part of Waipuku-Patea Block. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 13th June, 1916. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for immediate inquiry. 14th June, 1916. I am directed to report that, as the petitioners have not exhausted their legal remedy, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 14th June, 1916.
