Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Committee be appointed, consisting of twelve members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries, stock, and commerce; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report; the Committee to have power to oali for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Anstey, Hon. Mr. Buddo, Mr. Buiok, Mr. Dickie, Mr. W. H. Field, Mr. Forbes, Mr. Hunter, the Right Hon. Mr. Masscy, Mr. Sykes, Mr. Talbot, Mr. Wilkinson, and the mover." —(Hon. Mr. Mac Donald.) EEPOETS. No. 11.—Petition of William James Todd, of Opunake. Praying for compensation for loss of business through loss of contract. I am directed to report, — 1. That the Committee has no recommendation to make on this petition. 2. That the Government be recommended to cause inquiries to be made into the necessity for keeping open the boiling-down and manure works at Opunake in the interests of the settlers and the Department. 22nd June, 1916.
