Praying for the payment of a certain sum of money retained by the Crown in reference to the sale of Section 33, Waimate Block 2. I am directed to report that the Committee finds as follows : — 1. That the money charges complained of were made by tho Lands Department in accordance with the provisions of section 110 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and were made as against the purchaser. 2. That the Natives were paid by the Native Land Purchase Board the value of their interests in the land in accordance with a valuation made by the Valuation Department. 3.
