Clause 28. All differences or disputes arising under this agreement touching or concerning the construction of this agreement, or any matter or thing heroin contained or arising thereout, and every question, term, or condition which may require settlement in connection with any thing, or matter, or event contemplated by this agreement, but which is not hereinbefore specifically provided for, shall, in case of the parties differing, be referred to the settlement of two disinterested persons — one to be nominated by each party —as arbitrators, or to an umpire appointed by them in case they shall not agree, and the award of such arbitrators or their umpire shall be finally and conclusively binding upon the parties hereto. Clause 29. The Shipping Company agrees to give the Frozen Meat Company a preference of space for frozen meat in its steamers over any other freezing company or companies not under a similar contract to this, and provided that tho terms and conditions of existing contracts with other freezing companies arc not affected thereby. Clause 30. The Shipping Company agrees to give the Frozen Meat Company the option of any variation of tho conditions which may be accorded to any other freezing company during the currency of this contract. Clause 31. It is further agreed that in the event of any new contract or any alteration whatsoever in existing contracts being made by the Shipping Company the Frozen Meat Company shall have the right to read such new contract or contracts, and the Shipping Company shall inform the Frozen Meat Company when new contracts or any alterations in existing contracts arc made, and the Freezing Company shall be entitled, should it so desire and give written notice thereof, to the advantages of such new contract or any alterations thereof. Clause 32. The intention of this agreement is that the Frozen Meat Company shall properly freeze and tender for shipment to ports mentioned in clause J the whole, of tho output of meat from their works which they desire to ship to such ports to the Now Zealand Shipping Company and the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company (Limited) in equal proportions ; that the New Zealand Shipping Company (Limited) and the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company (Limited) shall provide steamers properly fitted with refrigerating machinery and insulated, chambers for the conveyance of such output to London and elsewhere, as may bo arranged, upon the Freezing Company giving due notice of their requirements as provided in this agreement; and that each of the contracting parties shall meet each other's requirements in a reasonable manner from time to time on a " give-and-take " basis, with the object of avoiding unnecessary friction and promoting the best interests of all concerned in the frozen-meat industry in the Dominion of Now Zealand.
