Police Department, Wellington, 20th July, 1922. 1 HAVE the honour to present the annual report on the Police Force for the year ended 31st March last. Strength of Forob. On the 31st March last the number of permanent members of the Force of all ranks was 974, being an increase of 92 during the year. Stations. New stations have been established at Waiotira, Panmure, Kerepehi, Waiuta, and Tuatapere ; and the stations at Ranfurly Road (Auckland), Karangahake, and Blackwater have been closed. Casualties. The following arc the casualties for the year ended 3lst March last: Retired on pension under the Public Service Superannuation Act, 14; retired as medically unfit, 3 ; died. 2 ; resigned voluntarily, 21 ; called upon to resign, 7 ; dismissed, 2 : total, 49. This is 9 less than in the preceding year.
