ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the. House of Representatives. Thursday, the 14th Day oir July, 1927. Ordered, " That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Native Affairs Committee be appointed, consisting of sixteen members, to consider all petitions, reports, returns, and other documents relating to affairs especially affecting the Native race that may be brought before the House this session, and from time to time to report thereon to the House ; with power to call for persons and papers ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Bell, Mr. Girling, Mr. A. Hamilton, Mr. Hetiare, Mr. Hockly, Mr. Howard, Mr. W. Jones, Mr. H. G. R. Mason, the Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata, the Hon. Sir Maui Pomare, Mr. J. C. Rolleston, Mr. Seddon, Mr. Urn. Mr. Waite, the Hon. Mr. Williams, and the mover."—(Right Hon. Mr. Coates.) Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1926 be again referred to the same Committee as they were referred to during the said session."—(Right Hon. Mr. Coates.)
