REPORTS. No. 54. —Petition of the Veterinary Practitioners' Association of New Zealand, of Hawera. Praying that all persons who have practised as veterinary surgeons for a period of six years prior to the commencement of the Act shall be entitled to register as veterinary surgeons. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 26th August, 1927.
Special Report on Educational Facilities for Veterinary Surgeons. 1 am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee attention should be directed to the fact that there are no educational facilities in New Zealand that will enable people in this country to obtain the qualifications required for a veterinary surgeon under the Veterinary Surgeons Act, 1926. The Committee therefore recommends that, pending the provision of such facilities, a system of bursaries or scholarships should be established to enable holders of them to qualify either in Australia or Great Britain ; and that this resolution should be reported to the House. 26th August, 1927.
Fertilizers Bill. (First Report.) 1 am directed to report that the Committee has carefully considered the above Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 27th September, 1927.
No. 71. —Petition of William Richard Hufton, of Lower Hutt. Praying for assistance in connection with an improved branding process for carcasses for export. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 17th October, 1927.
