ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Friday, the 2nd Day op August, 1929. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters relating to public health, infectious diseases, contagious diseases, hospitals, and to local authorities having charge of these matters, and to such other matters affecting public health as may be referred to it; to have power to call for persons and papers ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Clinkard, Mr. Hawke, Mr. Healy, Sir George Hunter, Mr. Jenkins, Mr. Munro, Mr. Parry, Mr. Sykes, Mr. Young, and the mover."—(Hon. Mr. Stallwortiiy.) Friday, the 11th Day op October, 1929. Ordered, " That the petition of C. M. Stagpool be referred direct to the Public Health Committee." —(Mr. Barnard.)

REPORTS. No. 369. —Petition of Cecil Major Stagpool, of Napier. Praying for permission to practise dentistry under supervision of a registered dental practitioner. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 7th November, 1929. By order of the House, dated 7th November, 1929, this petition was referred back to the Committee for further consideration.

No. 380. —Petition of Alexander Tod Murray, of Wanganui. Praying for authority to practise dentistry under certain conditions. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 7th November, 1929.
