It is not necessary, however, that any company wishing to make use of the permission specified in paragraph 3 above should delay incorporating the invention until the direct authorization referred to above is received, or the arrangements for marking decided, as the construction and sale of the six-wheelers could proceed in advance thereof. 6. The Army Council would be glad if this information could be communicated to any companies to which it might be of interest. The method adopted by the War Office for notifying vehicle-manufacturers in this country has been to communicate with certain manufacturers in England and Scotland known to be concerned, and to write to the Society of Motor-manufacturers, London.
