APPENDIX 11.

AGRICULTURAL COURSE PROPOSED FOR LINCOLN COLLEGE. Dβ. R. E. Alexander suggests that the technical school should teach woodwork, blacksmithing, plumbing, and kindred subjects, whilst the following courses will be undertaken at — Lincoln College : Botany (grasses and seeds), manures and cultivation, stock-foods and feeding, dairy science, wool-classing, elementary mathematics, mensuration and book-keeping. Waitaki High School: Farm work, carpentry, metalwork, chemistry and dairy science, theoretical agriculture, farm work under supervision of practical farmers, intensive work, rotational grazing. Rangiora High School: Chemistry, botany, crop husbandry, animal husbandry, wool-classing, dairy practice, farm costing, mensuration. In district high schools, where the tuition of these boys will be undertaken, because of limited staff, the officers of the Fields Division of the Agriculture Department will give assistance in various phases of the work.
