Special Report. J. have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Native Affairs Committee expressed, by resolution, its appreciation of the services of the Clerk, Mr. E. M. Anderson, and directed that I should so report to the House. J. O'Brien, Chairman. 31st October, 1936.

Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Native Affairs Committee, consisting of seventeen members, has held thirty-three meetings during the session, the average attendance at each meeting being eight. Including thirty-two petitions brought forward from last session, the Committee had before it one hundred petitions. Seventy-four petitions were reported on and twenty-six are held over. Eleven parliamentary papers were duly considered and reported on. 1 he Native Land Amendment Bill and the Native Purposes Bill were considered and reported on. J.
