In addition to the above securities the Minister of Finance holds stock amounting to £29,960,000 issued by the State Advances Corporation as consideration for the mortgages taken over from the State Advances Office, and £8,760,000 as consideration for the mortgages taken over from the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Account in terms of section 38 of the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand Act, 1934-35.
