Electoral Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Native Aflairs Committee has carefully considered the Electoral Amendment Bill and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 26th November, 1937.

No. 60.—Petition of Kaka Porowini and 7 Others, of Whangarei. Praying that effect be given to the report and recommendation of the Native Land Court in regard to their claim relating to Mangakowhara Block. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 6th December, 1937.

No. 42. —Petition of G. A. Hirschberg, of Wellington. Praying for a public inquiry in regard to his claim to the lease of 8,000 acres at Longbush. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 6th December, 1937.

No. 31. —Petition of Hoani Meihana and 7 Others, of Wellington. Praying for an extension of time fixed for lodging applications in terms of section 8 of the Native Purposes Act, 1936. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 6th December, 1937.

No. 46. —Petition of Tamati Moeau and Another, of Manutuke. Praying for inquiry into their claim to Pahou Block. I am directed to report that, as the matter referred to in the petition is sub judice, the Committee has no recommendation to make. 6th December, 1937.
