Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting the Goldfields and Mines Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : " That this Committee places on record its appreciation of the competent manner in which Mr. O'Brien, as Chairman, has conducted the business of the Committee, and of his impartial interest therein, and recommends that this resolution be reported to the House." Final Report. I have the honour to report that during the session the Groldfields and Mines Committee, consisting of ten members, has held eight meetings, with an average attendance at each meeting of six members. During the session the Committee had three Bills and four petitions referred to it, all of which were duly considered and reported to the House with the exception of one petition which is held over until next session.
