ILLEGITIMACY. By an arrangement with the Registrar-General all illegitimate births are notified (section 41, Child Welfare Act, 1925) to Child Welfare Officers, who investigate all cases and seek to advise and assist the mother where possible. The following table shows the result of such investigations : —
